Install Arma 3 Mods

  1. Browse ARMA 3 files to download full releases, installer, sdk, patches, mods, demos, and media.
  2. Upload the Mods to your ARMA 3 Server Root Folder After you have downloaded an ARMA 3 mod, simply upload the folder to server’s root directory. Note: It is commonly recommended that the folder names for ARMA 3 mods should begin with an @ symbol.

Installing mods for Arma3 is a simple process. From the Launcher's perspective there are two basic types of mods – those that originate from the Steam Workshop and those that come from alternative sources that you have manually downloaded ie 'Local' mods. Adding Steam Workshop mods to the Arma 3.

There are 2 ways to install mods on your Arma 3 server.
Automatically via Steam Workshop and manually via FTP.

Automatic installation via the workshop

For this we need the WorkshopID(s). This can be read from the link.
As an example, we use the mod CBA ( Community Based Addons ).

Basic Mode

If your Arma 3 configuration is in Basic mode, the WorkshopIDs must be entered in the field
Mod Settings in the field Mods (Automatic installation via Steam Workshop).If you have more than one mod, separate the WorkshopIDs with semicolons.
This would look like this:WorkshopID1;WorkshopID2;WorkshopID3;

Advanced Mode

In Advanced mode you will find the field Mods (automatic installation via Steam Workshop)
under the item Commandline.
The mods are to be entered here with the same rules as in the Basic mode.

Manual installation via FTP

Install

Of course you can also install mods via FTP. It is also possible to use both systems simultaneously. But you should primarily use the Steam Workshop.
If you want to use your own mods, you can use FileZilla to do so.
The FTP login data can be found in the web interface on 4Netplayers. Click on your game server and then on FTP in the upper left corner. Then click on the tab Upload and scroll down a little. Once the connection is established, you can upload your mods

Install Mods On Arma 3 Server

Example

First Mod:
Evangelion episode 25 and 26 meaning. 1) Upload the mod -> e.g. /configuration ID/@modname1
Please do not forget to upload the key-file to the /configuration-ID/keys folder


Second mod:
1) Upload the mod -> e.g. /configuration ID/@modname2
Please do not forget to upload the key-file to the /configuration-ID/keys folder


Just like workshop mods, manually uploaded mods must be entered into the server.
The corresponding field is called: Mods (manual installation via FTP).
In Basic Mode you will find this under Mod Settings.
In Advanced Mode this can be found in the commandline.
